THE RETIRED PROFESSOR ASSOCIATION (RPA-UST)

Introduction

Established at HKUST in 2022, The Retired Professor Association of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (RPA-UST) was organized to help members maintain meaningful connection to the University community through intellectual engagement, representation, and advocacy.

All retired professors at HKUST are welcome to join. RPA-UST provides opportunities for professional networking and academic connections and serves as an organized voice and communication channel between retired faculty and the University community, providing support and advocacy for RPA-UST members’ interests and concerns.

Throughout the year, the RPA-UST conducts a variety of events, programs and activities that promote intellectual as well as social engagement.

Mission

The objectives of The Retired Professor Association of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (RPA-UST) shall be:

• To provide social contact and networking for retired professors (and former professors) of HKUST;
• To facilitate interaction between retired professors and the University;
• To help to organize retire professors to become a pool of intellectual resource for the University;
• To assist, whenever possible, in furthering the interests of the University.
